Tino S&D: A Brief Overview

Cupertino Speech and Debate holds a special place within the National Forensic League, the nation's oldest and largest speech and debate honor society. We strongly follow the League's ambitions of enlightening the public to be aware of the importance of speech, debate, and communicative education.

First and foremost, we just want to say that: Our club is here for you.

Through various speaking activities and exhilarating competitions, we promote the essential growth of self-confidence and critical thinking abilities required in all aspects of life. By just becoming a member of this club, you have already begun your journey onward to success. As a club, we practice on general public speaking skills by means of specific events relevant to your own personal interests. Perhaps you would like to engage in a mind-blowing debate about how responsible we teenage drivers really are, or maybe learn how to come up with an effective speech on the spot with impromptu. Whatever the reason may be for joining, members end up gaining valuable lifelong skills while tremendously improving their communicative and leadership skills.

Regardless of your current speaking capabilities, we welcome all who aspire to become a better speaker, thinker, and person overall. In order to improve these qualities though, one must be willing to dedicate time and effort into the work which will surely be rewarded. Essentially, your input into this club will result in many benefits; a few being the growth of critical thinking, logical analytical, speaking, and writing skills as well as being able to think on your feet. All of these are skills applied in both the classroom and in your future career to achieve success.

For your own success, we will strive to provide support in the mastery of all mentioned qualities crucial to your future and we hope to see you soon.
