Parliamentary debate, colloquially dubbed "Parli," is an enjoyable impromptu academic debate event in which participants debate about a multitude of topics. Despite the name, Parliamentary debate is not related to debates in governmental parliaments, and is rather a structured debate conducted with four individuals in all, with two teams of two debating against each other. Parliamentary debates usually last around 45 minutes, with 15-20 minutes of preparation time given to each debate pair in advance.
