SPEECH: A SHORT PRIMER

Speech covers a vast landscape of events, each with its own charming features and necessary sets of techniques. Due to the variety offered in Speech, many students participate in many different events before settling their main event. Tino's Speech team has several skilled coaches for almost all of the events, so prospective students can rest assured that they will not be neglected.

By participating in Speech, students learn how to... speak! If Debate focuses on Content more than Delivery, one could say that Speech generally focuses more on the Delivery. Of course, it's a very broad generalization, but it captures the essence of speech well. Students wishing to improve or show off their public speaking skills should join speech.

The Tino Speech Team meets every Monday from 3:10~4:15. Students are expected to come to every meeting because continual practice and drills are imperative for success in tournaments.
